1. Drunk Jenga (aka Drunga)
Write a different rule on each Jenga block, and play. Knock down the tower? Down your drink.
2. Never Have I Ever
Taking turns, ask a question in the form of “Never Have I Ever” (like “never have I ever kissed someone from France”). Everyone who can answer “yes”, drinks.
3. Roxanne
Listen to “Roxanne” by The Police. Drink every time you hear the word “Roxanne”. You could also play this with “Jamming” by Bob Marley & the Wailers.
4. Pennies
Take turns trying to bounce a penny off the table into a short glass. Miss? Drink. Three in a row? Make up a new rule.
5. Fuzzy Duck
Say “fuzzy duck” to the person on your left. Continue until someone says “does he”. You must now say “ducky fuzz”, going right. “Does he” can change direction again. Mess up? Take a drink.
6. Twenty One
Take it in turns to count to 21, but aim not to be the one who says “21”. If you say “21”, then you have to take a forfeit. Rules vary from game to game, but there is a handy list of the most common ones here.
7. Bullshit
Like Uno, but with more lying. If you get caught out, down your drink. Here is a printable version of the rules.
8. Dirty Pint
Everyone puts some of their drink into a communal pint glass. Flip a coin and call it. If you’re wrong, down the dirty pint.
9. Drink While You Think
The first person names a celebrity (Emma Watson). The person to their left names a celebrity whose name begins with the letter of that celebrity’s last name (Watson -> Walt Disney). You must drink while you think of a name.
10. King’s Cup (aka Ring of Fire)
There are several variants on this game, but basically you need a pack of cards, a large glass, and an iron stomach.
11. T-Rex Arms
This is a rule from King’s Cup but it’s a pretty good standalone game too.
12. Beer Pong
Two teams, two sets of cups in a triangle, each one-third filled with beer. If you get a ping-pong ball into your opponent’s cup, they have to drink it.
13. Would You Rather?
The classic Would You Rather format, with a twist. The group votes on the answer – and everyone who chooses the least popular response has to drink. Here’s a good list of questions to start with.
14. Paranoia
The person on your right whispers you a question, the answer of which has to be somebody playing the game (e.g. “who is the hottest in this room?”). You respond out loud. If someone wants to know what the question was, they have to drink.
15. Let’s Go Camping
Someone chooses a place to go camping (for example, a school), but keeps it secret. Players then suggest things to bring and have to guess where they’re camping. So, “a tent” is wrong, as there are no tents in schools. But “a notebook” is right. If you get it wrong, drink. Winner chooses the next destination.
